Welcome
to Moorlands bed and breakfast
"Moorlands" is a private house situated
on the slopes of the North Hill, Minehead, having
extensive panoramic views over the town, Blue
Anchor Bay, the Quantock Hills and beyond. The
house stands in a large terraced garden and overlooks
the picturesque area of Higher Town, with its
thatched cottages, Church Steps and St Michael's
Church, which is often floodlit at night.

Accommodation
We have one twin and two double bedrooms, which are
comfortably furnished and all have a shower, vanity
basin, colour TV, central heating and tea/coffee making
facilities. There is also a lounge which guests may
use. Moorlands is totally non-smoking.

Dining
Room
Mary takes great pride in the quality and
quantity of her freshly-cooked English breakfast.
It is served in our attractive dining room,
which catches the morning sun and looks out
on to the patio. We do not provide dinner,
but there are many excellent restaurants and
pubs in and around Minehead which will satisfy
most tastes at reasonable cost. |

| The town centre,
seafront and harbour are all within easy walking
distance and the South West Coastal Path starts
nearby. Exmoor, the Quantock and Brendon Hills
and North Devon are only a short drive away by
car or by local bus services.
"Moorlands" is a place where you can
"get away from it all" and relax in
its homely atmosphere and peaceful surrondings.

About Minehead
Minehead is only about 25 miles
from the M5 motorway at Bridgewater or Taunton
and the main railway station at Taunton.
Minehead is a regular winner
of the Britain in Bloom competition and the town's
floral displays are well worth seeing.
Most interests and activities
are catered for in or near Minhead: 18-hole golf
course, indoor swimming pool, ABC Cinema, Regal
Theatre, horse riding, fishing trips from the
harbour, coach trips by local firms includng vintage
and open-top buses, to name a few! Local bird-watching
walks can be arranged.
The West Somerset Railway runs
from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard, near Taunton,
and operates both steam and diesel-hauled trains
over a very scenic 20 mile route.
