walking distance and the South West Coastal Path
starts nearby. Exmoor, the Quantock and Brendon
Hills and North Devon are only a short drive away
by car or by local bus services.

Minehead is only about 25 miles
from the M5 motorway at Bridgewater or Taunton
and the main railway station at Taunton.
Minehead is a regular winner
of the Britain in Bloom competition and the town's
floral displays are well worth seeing.
Most interests and activities
are catered for in or near Minhead: 18-hole golf
course, indoor swimming pool, ABC Cinema, Regal
Theatre, horse riding, fishing trips from the
harbour, coach trips by local firms includng vintage
and open-top buses, to name a few! Local bird-watching
walks can be arranged.
The West Somerset Railway runs
from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard, near Taunton,
and operates both steam and diesel-hauled trains
over a very scenic 20 mile route.
